There are many project management systems out there, and everyone has their own style of working and productivity. I don’t know about you though, but I simply cannot work without some sort of system to keep track of my to-dos these days, and the more clients I get, the more important it is.
Obviously it does not matter what boundaries we set and precautions we take, other people are not always going to follow our lead. It’s up to us to set, and keep, those boundaries, no matter how difficult it might be at the time. I would say it’s vital to our health to do this. So how do we set the right boundaries?
Loyalty is a good thing. But we do owe it to ourselves to keep the boundaries we have set for both ourselves and our clients, otherwise the client will learn that it’s okay to call at all hours of the night and expect us to answer.
